Abstract:
Traditional Web-based courses present the same content to each student , ignoring the diversity of students’learning strategies and characteristics This article puts forward the idea of designing the intelligent web-based courses based on the techn ology of Adaptive Hypermedia. The domain model , student model and population model are used in the framework. The main content in the student model has taken account of topic knowledge , concept knowledge and students’preferences in their stud ies. The student model is used to decide and update the adaptive navigation and adaptive presentation. The web-based courses can notice the differences of the students and provide them with correct learning approach and learning methods.
