Abstract:
A tom izing character istics of two k inds o f tw in-flu id nozzles ( e ffervescent nozzle and Y - type nozzle) are ex perim enta lly studied by using PIV techno logy; the influences o f nozzle type, a ir to liqu id ratio ( ALR), liquid flow ra te, nozzle inte rnal geom etry, e tc on atom izing prope rties are analyzed. The a tom izing exper im ental resu lts show that atom iza tion qua lity o f e ffervescent nozzle is better than tha t of Y- type no zzle under the sam e cond ition; Sauter mean diam eter ( SMD, D 32 ) of atom ized partic les decreasesw ith increas ing o f a ir to liqu id ratio, the decreasing degree reaches stability a t ALR> 0. 04; SMD of a tom ized partic les decreases w ith increasing of liqu id flow rate at the sam e a ir to liqu id ratio; it w ill be he lpful fo r atom ization qua lity fo r effervescent nozzle to increase the injection area o f atom iza tion air in the sam e a ir infection area of internal m ixture cham ber
