Abstract:
Based on introduc ing the theoretical phys ics o f R itz var ia tion approx im ate m e thod, and w ith an exam ple o f ca rtesian coordinate and an ex am ple o f cy lindr ica l coordinate, the steady state hea t conduc tion prob lems w ere so lved and ca lcu la ted using the fin ite volum em ethod ( FVM ) in struc tured gr id. The resu lts are in ag reement when the approx im ate so lution com pared w ith the num er ica l and the ex act so lutions.
