Abstract:
Wastewater from the production of Reactive Br illiant Red M- 3BE is treated by applying extr action and flocculation. Removal rate of COD of w astew ater is above 97%. T he extract is back-washed with sodium hydrox ide solution ( 20%) to recover Reactiv e Brilliant Red M- 3BE. The extr acting efficiency does not decrease even after being r eused for 20 t imes. T his paper also discusses certain factors t hat affect ex tract ing and flocculating efficiency.
