Abstract:
Geo-spatial data have become much easier to collect with the techniques for gathering geographic information deve-l oping rapidly. These techniques have created and are creating dig ital data in spatial database in which the capacity of data is increasing exponentially. This paper analyses the process, characteristics and technology of data mining in GIS, discusses the importance of geo-visualization in data mining, and studies the integration of GIS and visual interactive spatial data mining. Besides, the paper expatiates the mode and route for the integration and a system framework for the integration of GIS and SDM has been proposed.
