Abstract:
In th is paper the so-l g el techno logy is em ploy ed to prepareGC capillary co lum ns w ith g lycero lm on ostearate as sta tionary phase. The chrom a tog raph ic properties o f the co lumn are stud ied, including the sepa ra tion power, the co lumn e fficiency, the therm a l stab ility, the m easurement repeatab ility, the po larity o f the sta tiona ry phase and the symm etry of the peaks. In fig. 1~ 4 nice sepa ration o f va rious com pounds on th is co lumn is show ed. The column has good effic iency and the theo retical p late number is 2 900 /m. It can stand high temperature and can be used at temperature o f 250 ℃ that is much h ighe r than the allow ed max im um temperature o f 120 ℃ for the comm ercia l co lumn prepared by traditional m ethod w ith the sam e stationary phase. The RSD for 10 tim es o f m easu rem ents of the retention tim e is less than 0. 26%, wh ich m eans the co lum n has excellent repeatab ility. The sum of theM cReyno lds constants is 496, so the po larity of the stationary phase is m edium. The exce llen t peak-shape is proved by the fact that the asymm etr ic factor of the peaks is 1
