Abstract:
Sol-ge lm e thod was used in prepar ing capillary column w ith po lyoxye thy lene so rb itan m ono laurate as sta tionary phase for g as chrom atography. The g as chrom atography o f the so l-gel column show ed ex cellent sepa ration of var ious com- pounds, inc luding nonpolar and po lar compounds, such as a lkanes, arom atic hydrocarbons, alcoho ls, am ines, carboxy l- ic ac ids, phenols, este rs e tc. Good repeatab ility and low base-line indicated ex cellent therm ostab ility. Sharp and narrow peaks and the theoretica l plate num be r ( 2 802 /m ) ind icated good co lumn effic iency. Symm etric peaks and the va lue o f asymm e tric fac to r show ed good inertness o f the column.
