Abstract:
1, 1, 1-Trichloroethane was selected as a solvent for the extraction separation of furfura-l water system. The theoretical results of cross- current and counter- flow were obtained by simulation calculation. The results show that 1, 1, 1-trichloroethane is an effective so-l vent for the extraction process. The recovery of furfural after extraction with n= 3 was up to 99%(wt. ) and furfural in water layer was reduced to < 0. 07%. The simulation results will provide theoretical bases for further industrial testing.
