Abstract:
The three-stage ex traction m ethod was used to dea lw ith the nitro-C ac id wastewaterw ith n-octano l as the ex tractant. Thew aste acid w as recovered from the raffinate w ith the active carbon as the deco lorant a t room temperature. The paper discussed d ifferent e ffects ( such as o i-l wa ter ratio, ex traction m ix ing tim e, equ ipm ent tim e and so on) on the rem ov al effic iency of COD C r and the ac idity of ra ffinate, and the effect of active carbon do sag e and temperature on the d iscolor ing effic iency. The result show ed that the rem oval e ffic iency of COD C r cam e to 95%, and the acidity of the recovered waste ac id w as about 512 g /L by the three- stage ex traction under o i-lw ater ratio 0.6:1, m ix ing tim e 5 m in, equ ipm ent tim e 4 h, and 2% ( w. t. ) active carbon disco lor ing at room tem pera ture.
