Abstract:
An im po rtant task o f pow er m arket m onitor ing is to detect and eva luate speculations o f pow er-generating m erchants and prevent ma rket members from abusing ma rket powe r to m an ipu la te the pow erm arket and to do ha rm to othe rm arket m embers, and to m ainta in the va lidity o f them arke t com pe titiveness. In this paper, the re la tive degree of m arket pow er, the ex tent o f approach betw een b id pr ice andm arke t clearing pr ice and the fulfillm en t o f the instructions o f the d ispa tch cen ter are the c riter ia to judge whether specu lations ex ist. The possib ilities of speculations are synthetically eva luated and quantitative ly ana ly zed to g ive m onitor re ference to specu la tions by using the genera lized lowest dev iation m e thod to rank them.
