Abstract:
Nano sized T iO2 w as mod ified by w ater-based an ion ic hype rd ispersant in orde r to obta in steady nanosized T iO2 aqueous suspension. IR, UV, SEM, sedim entation experim ent, v isco sim etryw ere used to character ize the dispe rsibility o f T iO2. The resu lts show ed that the hyperd ispersantw as adso rbed onto theT iO2 surface successfully; the SEM show ed that there w as no agm ina ted mod ified T iO2 particles and the whole average size w as less than 100 nm; the nano sized T iO2 aqueous suspension was very stable at pH va lue 9, them od ified nanosized TiO2 can be steadily suspended for 1 152 h in w ater so lvent, com pa red w ith the pre-m odified T iO2 the dispers ibility w as increased g reatly.
