Abstract:
In prac tica l opera tion, the problem that the pressure d iffe rence be tw een h igh and low pressures condensers obviously derivates from the design va lue is qu ite un ive rsal for dua-l pressure condensers of large steam turbines. Th is paper ana ly zes causes o f the problem in term s o f the layout of cy linder un its, and through the calcu lation and ana ly sis o f the 1 000MW ultra-supe rcr itica l units w ith dua-l pressu re condense r, rev ea ls the im pact tha t the condensing load dev iation of high and low pressure condensers has upon the pressu re d ifference as w ell as the w e ighted av erage o f pressure. The results of the research show that although the increase o f condensing load o f the low pressure side m akes pressure d ifference low er than the design va lue, ye t it has little impact upon the equ iva lent pressure, and has no obv ious impact upon the rm al pe rfo rm ance of the un it.
